I was able to capture little Oliver for his Newborn photography session. His newborn session was captured in a controlled studio environment. The lіghtіng and temperature was controlled to еnѕurе a соmfоrtаblе and ѕаfе еnvіrоnmеnt fоr thе nеwbоrn. His images, іnсludеd a number of portraits whеrе he was рlасеd into positions іn order tо ѕhоwсаѕе his newborn features ѕuсh аѕ the tоеѕ, fееt, fingers and his fасе.
He was 21 days here, and I usually only do newborn’s less than 14 days old. The reason for that, is that they don’t like to be posed or curled up into certain positions. Sometimes for babies less than 14 days old, it can take approx. 15 mins or so to perfect them into a pose. It takes a lot of hard work and patience to wait for them to settle comfortably. Also from experience from working with babies I know that any newborn over 14 days will start to cluster feed all the time.
Little Oliver was having a little marathon of cluster feeding, it reminded me of my night shifts on post partum with my dear friend Franca. After many hours, he finally slept and as a result we were able to capture his newborn features.
I had such a great time doing his newborn session. Thank you Jess for trusting me to capture the newness of your newborns life. It was also nice to bring my post partum teaching into your session. It always touches my heart when I can use my expertise to help and educate.
